Like many, I dismissed the Tarot as silly hocus pocus hoohoo that mean old women in crazy outfits and turbans used to scam people out of money. Then I began to explore and realized that today's Tarot is very different from the Tarot of past. Modern readers use the Tarot as a tool to help people (and themselves) to look within and bring patterns out to be worked on. Taror decks are also used for meditation. Plus, we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of Oracle decks that are used to also help us have an idea of what we should be "working on."

Oracle decks interested me from the beginning and I have collected and enjoyed working with Sonia Choquette's decks, many of Doreen Virtue's decks and more. For one thing, the artwork just grabs me and for another, they WORK!

I came to Tarot and was smitten with the beauty, the elegance and the uncanny accuracy of the cards. I decided to pick up a deck or two (famous last words) and learn a bit more. After acquiring a deck or twenty, and having a few readings done, I knew I had found something I would always enjoy. Now to learn the Tarot properly!

Then, I contacted Isha Lerner and she kindly agreed to mentor me in the Tarot. www.ishalerner.com What a wonderful experience and I strongly recommend her to anyone desiring a solid, insightful understanding of the meaning of Tarot. She took the scary out of it and made Tarot a positive life lesson!

Speaking of Tarot decks, there is a world of shopping fun to be had! I have had a blast looking at the variety of decks available and deciding which speak to me and which do not! There are as many types of decks are there are readers and it is fabulous fun!

Thos of you who know me know that I would just HAVE to have my own Tarot site. Click here for my own take on the tarot and ENJOY! I will also be doing in-person readings at Brigid's House in Park Rapids, MN. and this November 11, 12 & 13th at the Edge Life Expo in the Twin Cities (come visit).

I could spend lots of time typing in links to all the cool Tarot sites, but instead I will send you to the biggest and most fun sites and you can Google on and explore from there.
